| 2023 24 season after 35 games. 13:12 - Mar 9 with 974 views | Axeldalai_lama | We were 2 points ahead of Leeds, sat in second place. I assume a certain section of our fans thought it was all done and dusted and we were away and done, as they now think Boro are? Squeaky bum time now, as it was then, we've got a chance now, as we did then, we could mess it all up now, as we could have then. Let's wait and see and enjoy the ride, watching through the gaps in our fingers! | | | | |

The good news is, Ipswich will be playing at Wembley as the wife has booked a lobster festival thing or something on the final day, which inevitably means we will be in that game. The bad news is. I can't tell you whether we'll win or not lol! Being honest though, it's going to be a rough two months isn't it?

Every game has something riding on it, nervous tension wherever you look, looking ahead at our rivals fixtures and trying to predict their results, hoping beyond hope that a no hoper pulls off a shock result to help us. BRING IT ON!

Could you imagine that now and how people would claim that would never have happened under Morsy, Woolfie and Broadhead’s watch?

A bit like earlier this season when people said that team wouldn't have lost away to a team like Preston, which overlooked the fact that we lost at Preston in 23/24....

This, exactly this. I really don't understand what some of our fans expect to get out of football and supporting Ipswich. "Yes we're pushing for autos, yes we've scored nearly the most and let in the least, but we haven't been absolutely amazing and run away with things, therefore we're almost certainly going to not go up automatically and that in turn means we'll bomb the play offs. Booo, we're rubbish." No, we're literally the best we've been for over two decades bar literally 2 seasons brought about by the amazing manager. This is as good as it gets in many ways as a fan, nervous, horrible and great, all at the same time. Except if you crave some sort of sanitized win every game 3-0 be promoted by March or it's not good enough weirdness. If so good luck to you, but just maybe supporting town, or football more generally, isn't for you. Uppa towen.
