It's been there all season, lack of self belief, lack of conviction. Just too lightweight and can't defend at all. We need to acknowledge this as a group, we are simply not good enough, and I don't see any major improvement under the current management team, including those at board level. | | | |

Yup, but our first half performances in both games didn’t help.
Strangely, I’m more angry with that first 45 mins than the penalty, along with Hirst’s shank when in on goal and Furlong spooning a clearance up into the air..

Have to disagree Swansea. We deserved a point Saturday for a good second half performance and nothing tonight. Zippo.
It’s no good having better players if you don’t match the opposition for energy and effort. If you do that you will win most games. We don’t.
We gave the ball away cheaply at times, made catastrophic errors and were simply not good enough. Cut to pieces in the middle, wilted under their aggression and organisation.
Feel sorry for Burns. Far and away our best player. Matusiwa was better second half too. But it’s no good blaming refs. You put the game to bed and the ref can do what he likes. |  | | |

Maybe it's the pessimist in me but my instant reaction when I saw him go down, Furlong* and Kipre offering out an arm sandwich, was the ref's going to give this. Clearly the Stoke player has mugged him and in turn us, injury on injury after the weekend's farce, but it was also an image that we never should have presented the ref with in the first place.

The players made far more mistakes than the referee, poor decision as it was. We were pretty poor tonight apart from a 20 min spell. Just so disappointing. |  | | |
