Exactly, that’s why I said in another thread it was throughout the team really, we only had to do one correct thing out of about 4 and the Ref doesn’t get the chance to give an incorrect decision. I’ll never forget Knudsen not going to the corner flag at Norwich! Similar stupidity.

Yep just needed to hold the ball up, it wasn’t a good position to have a shot. Or take the ball into the box and give the referee something to think about at the other end!

Not that the whole thing was on him though, naive game management all round, we lost all composure at the back and just wildly swiped at the ball when trying to clear it.

Every free kick gains us zero advantage, overcoached to take quickly and keep the ball so we always play a stupid simple sideways pass and gain no advantage. Watch when we get a free kick inside the opposition half three/four touches then back to Walton, that winds up me up so much. Get the ball force a save or a corner for crying out loud.

Just dreadful. The lack of discipline in the last few minutes was pathetic. Where are the leaders in this team? Why is Kipre 50 yards out pressing for a throw in, in stoppage time? How can a player get himself banned for 2 games when he was on 8 yellow cards before the weekend etc.

Our players are painfully low on football IQ.. wtf was Hirst doing? It’s not even a hard chance and in classic Hirst fashion missed the target by miles. People obviously don’t want to hear it but got extremely lucky with his goal too, pretty much passed it to the keeper who had a howler.

What on earth are you talking about? Away at Hull in the last promo season, we lost the lead 3 times, the last of which was in the 87th minute leading to KM nearly breaking his fist on the dugout ceiling, and we were all bemoaning a 3-3 draw. It was even worse game management than last night.

We're all feeling sore this morning and I'm still angry at numerous players unable to clear the ball in injury time. But ffs, keep it real.

The problem last night wasn't Hirst. We had 3 minutes after his chance to see out the game and we couldn't due to some worse than Sunday League standard defending.

Also, why criticise his goal when there are many more valid incidents that you should point out? He shot and he scored. He did his job. Ditto Burns. Unfortunately others failed to do theirs.

Put another way, you make your own luck in football. If you don't shoot, you don't score.
