As has been suggested before, I don't think this exercise was ever about reallocating season tickets, but instead to judge demand (maybe in relation to determined to what level season ticket prices could be increased by). The waiting list was originally a benefit of membership in 24/25.
The 6000 figure would be more realistic if there had been a cost e.g. £10-£20 to join the list (and the cost to be offset on purchasing).
Whatever, the club don't seem to be in a hurry to progress this. |  |

Just my wild theory but I don't think memberships were selling as well and i thought it was just a ploy to get people to buy memberships this season to join the list......!
The fact of the matter is, while demand for matchday tickets are high (which they still are bar restricted view tickets), no-one is giving up their season ticket. | | | |

Assuming that the 6,000 figure is actually correct, I cannot see that the club will be in any hurry to release details of queue positions.
It'll cost a minimum of £40 per person (not taking into account any increase in membership costs) to remain in the queue for 2026/27 which, if all those in the queue continue, will net the club a minimum of £240,000.
The sooner the club releases queue details, the greater the chance that those towards the back of the queue may think 'sod this for a laugh', and not bother to renew their memberships. | |

It wasn't about reallocating season tickets per se. It was intended to gauge interest, and possibly sell some more if enough were not renewed in the summer (I agree this is unlikely, or if there are any it will be a handful).
OP is correct though, everyone in the waiting list was supposed to be allocated a random queue position when sign-up was closed in December, and that was promised to be visible to you in your membership page. | | | |

Dont remember paying anything to be put on the list - but I may have needed to be a member to go on the list. As it is, I have membership for access to away match tickets which would lapse if I dropped my away ticket, so the idea that doing away with the queue would cost the club 240k is a bit overstated. Also, membership has meant I have been in the queue on day 1 of home ticket sales (and not yet missed a match), whereas no membership means I wouldnt have been able to go to any home games either! | | | |

Also, those that didn’t have membership last season couldn’t join the queue this season, so assume they will be eligible to join the queue next season should the purchase membership again. |  |

I haven't read it all but picked up the following.
"Supporters can now join the waiting list, with the window to sign up running until 5pm on Monday,1 December 2025. All supporters who sign up will be randomly placed in the queue following the closure of the ballot, with this order then used to allocate the opportunity to purchase a season ticket as and when they become available."
"There will be no new season tickets sales during the 2025/26 season. No new sales will occur until the 2026/27 season – at the earliest (dependant on renewal figures)."
Maybe they are waiting to see how many people fail to renew, and that might depend on which division we are in. But the implication is that it will only be non-renewed seats that become available. [Post edited 16 Mar 17:15]
