Yeah, good to see him getting some love at last. I think if we go up he's good enough to be starting.

Poll: What rating out of 10 do you give to Ipswichs season up to this point?

Yeah agree. Didn't look out of place at the beginning of last Prem season. Was great against Liverpool in that opening game.

And to think very recently some people here were calling for him to be dropped...

Poll: Lambert goes, would you prefer an ex-Town connection replacement or not?

We would absolutely need to sign a replacement if we went up.

But to the OP Walton has been good this season.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

Thought yesterday was one of his poorer games as of late...apart from that save. Kicking and distribution wasnt as good.

Took a lot of crosses well and that save at the end was excellent.

Kicking always been a weak point but didn't think it was too bad.

"Insane" is a bit harsh.

Christian Walton is not a PL starting goalkeeper, that is a statement of fact. He wasn’t even a Championship one in our promotion season. He can get beaten from distance and is suspect at his near post, good at collecting crosses pretty poor with his feet and slow to get down at times.

I like him for all he’s done for ITFC and he is ok for a strong Championship side but isn’t like a top 3 keeper, even in this league. Thought he was suspect at Sheffield United and Wrexham for example.

Made a good save late yesterday, Azeez will be a bit disappointed not to find the corner. Was very good collecting from corners as well, Millwall are dangerous from set pieces so that was important. His best save of the season was against Cov at 0-0 in the home game.

Our XG at home against is usually very low, so the clean sheet thing is potentially quite skewed.

That's your opinion not a statement of fact. And that my friend is a fact.

He's having a good season and that's that. He will be replaced in the summer whether we go up or not, he's just not good enough for overall what we need. That's why he never displaced Hladky, that's why Muric was signed and came in as number 1, that's why Palmer was then signed etc.

What division is he playing in?

Has he ever had a PL market?

I’d suggest the facts about his career to date are fairly on my side.

I agree, sad thing is he's been a great servant to the club, never moaned but yes if we go up we will need better and as you say possibly even if we don't.

Fair play to the lad though, pleased he regained his spot, must have been tough for him in the last championship season.

He's really not poor with his feet. I don't disagree that he's not a PL starting keeper but he's better with his feet than the vast majority of keepers.
