There maybe some who want to move on after Ashtons words 06:55 - Mar 28 with 734 viewsmuccletonjoe

But you will be kidding yourselves if you think the club moves on the same as it was. It doesn't.

That ships sailed.

It's like watching Nadine Dorries with eyes glazed as she tells the world her hero has done nothing wrong.

People want to publicly soil themselves that's their call.

No genuine remorse or an explanation for what he's sorry for.

Illusions to mistruths without explanation.

"Sorry you're upset"

The tw@t.

Unsurprisingly, I'm not best impressed but perhaps I shouldn't be surprised at this point.

My view is Ashton knows a lot of our fans will lap it up and try to get everyone to forget about it. Interesting his mistruths, without naming one of them, again knowing the defenders of the faith on here will decide it was all lies, whilst if he had not been complicit in the visit, had lunch with Farage, and also been complicit in trying to lie about events to the press and fans, he would absolutely have stated them.

Completely agree. Yesterday was a really sad day. Ultimately the club is there to make money and that comes above anything else and Ashton sees himself as more important than the supporters.

It’s people like you who carry this on and obviously don’t want to see Ipswich Town succeed this season so please stay away from the ground.

All through this sorry saga I had been prepared to give him a chance to explain it all, apologise, and we can hopefully move on. After the last 24 hours I want him gone and gone now. The way he kept saying "we" got me. No Mark it's YOU. Dont try and get everyone in this together. YOU caused this. The only person who needs to move on is YOU. The revelation of the meeting with Blue Action and his outburst was/is the final straw for me. The owners must remove him NOW.

I don't often agree with everything you say (not a dig and sure you feel the same) but Ashton has managed to bring many of the fan base together on this.

I knew about the BA incident but was asked to keep schtum at the time (which I respected) but yep, it is so shocking how he spoke to them. The man is a bully and should be nowhere near our club . 100% with you on this.

Agree entirely. Some of the comments i am reading from so called town supporters, you would never see before monday. This is what Ashton has turned the club into. I don't believe most of them have any interest in the club whatsoever, but it is now ours to suffer.

I can foresee:
"Nigel Farage, he's one of your own"
...
"Nigel Farage, he's one of our own"

Fighting ensues. This is what Mark Ashton has created. It will not end while he's here. Ashton has paraded Farage around the stadium in our colours and not shown any remorse for it. Only shown remorse generally for something non-specific (being caught?). Those who will sing the latter for "ironic lolz" will feel enabled to do so.

On here it might no seem the case but twitter and Facebook would differ if we see our fan base as these platforms ..

But is this all arrogance on Ashton’s part or is he just not very bright. He seems to have completely missed the point why large sections of the fan base are so enraged. Has he got to the position where he is so surrounded by yes men that he is no longer accountable to anyone on a day to day basis and actually doesn’t care what those fans think? Did he really not foresee what he was doing on Monday might have consequences or did he not care?

I think he has reached an all powerful position where he thinks it doesn't matter , yes.
