Compiled a new quiz - the player with the most appearances per season for every season since we joined the Football League (1938-39).

Minor spoiler alert - Some 'surprising' (IMO) names that I wouldn't have guessed for more recent seasons....

Good quiz thanks. Would be good to allow for some slight spelling / name variations but appreciate that is tricky to cover everything. I used some versions of player forenames we are more familiar with and it didn't accept them as correct answers (e.g. y on the end)

THanks for feedback. I've added some first name variations to the quiz, however, the quiz will recognise surnames only, therefore, as long as you spell the surnames correct it will still register

Pleased to get 78%.

Didn't get 3 of the last four seasons (although I managed to guess last season's after a few goes).

I did get 3 of the first 11 seasons thanks to them sharing names of more recent players! It was also handy where more than one player sharing it in a season gave you the name of another to attempt.

Would have got a few more if there was more time. Only missed 1 from my lifetime.

I use just surnames and it works from that.

The 06/07 player was the biggest curveball in the whole quiz IMO.
I remembered him after his name popped up, however, if I wasn't compiling the quiz, he would have remained forgotten within my memory!

My answers very much matched the pattern of my attendance.

Pretty solid from the mid-60s to the mid-80s, bit of a gap til the mid-90s then decent thereafter (though the more recent seasons, despite regular attendance, not so hot - short-term memory is the first to go they say).

Good quiz that.

64/80; some I think I got but slightly mis-spelt.
Yes, some surprises e.g. Dan Harding. Got most of the oldies. The greater turnover of players in recent years had me struggling.
