2024/25 Accounts 09:31 - Mar 31 with 668 viewsLA_Tractor_Boy

I think our 2024/25 accounts have to be published today.

Could make interesting reading for those interested in the finances.

Will obviously include all the PL TV money, plus presumably Delap's sale as Chelsea bought him before 30th June.

I guess we'll report a loss, but much of that will probably be due to the training ground, getting the stadium PL ready plus the recent work on the offices and car park.

I wonder how much we've spent on Reform's local election campaign

The cost of the shirts, lunch, etc will be in the accounts published next year. And will be well hidden in a much-wider section along the lines of "corporate entertaining" or something.

I thought that I was the only one nerdy enough to be getting excited.

As a comparison, Leicester lost £71.1m when they came down with us last season

And they lost £201m between 2022-2024

Ouch

Small sums to pay when it guarantees bouncing straight back up, though.

As do I!

Last year will be really interesting.

What are we thinking…
£100-140m extra revenue
Extra £60m ish in transfer fee and wage payments
Quite a bit of infrastructure - stadium and training ground, outside remit of PSR and FFP.

I’m thinking the outcome will be a potential overall loss but positive in FFP terms

Although the Leicester numbers are pretty chilling and really I’ve got no idea!

They could be bouncing back up from L1 at this point

I don't know. We might even have turned a profit, given amortisation of transfer fees and the sale of Delap. Which would be quite a feat.

I expect to see us comfortable from a PSR perspective, but still showing an overall loss in the accounts - we've thrown some money at the Women's team which will be 100% loss, but not attributable to PSR, plus a significant investment in infrastructure.

I think we're going to struggle to make a profit whilst we're still rebuilding, and very pleasantly surprised if we do turn a profit.
