Jacob Greaves - Finally back to the form of the first few games of 24/25? 09:45 - Apr 13 with 876 viewsBellevue_Blue

I think it's fair to say we've all been waiting to see him return to the form he produced when he first came in and it finally feels like he's back there.

He was absolutely immense on Saturday but he's been fantastic since he came in for Shef Wednesday.

Conceded just twice in the last 6 he's started, all be it two of those were at LB.

Let's hope this is the start of Version 2 of a really effective long-term partnership with Dara.

I would wholeheartedly agree. They've looked like a first-class pairing for the first time in 12-18 months.

With this being the true is there a case to play three at the back and push our fullbacks up the field. Our current setup uses wing backs rather than fullbacks. Lies strength is definitely not in the defensive area so why not promote the going forward part of his game?

Saturday was the perfect game for him, constant crosses into the box and not too much possession to worry about. I still think he's got some limitations and I'd be more comfortable seeing him at LB than CB if we're in the PL.

Depending on the opposition, Kipre is the stronger option IMO.

Poll: If forced to sell one of the following this summer, who would you sell?

Absolutely superb yesterday, both he and Dara were far too good for their strikers.

I would honestly love to see Greaves crack on and become the cb partner for O'Shea for many years to come. And he's definitely been back to his best. But I'm not sure we can risk it if(when) we go up.
I'm massively torn but the thought of Greaves playing against most of the strikers in the prem is making me feel like we need a couple of absolute beasts in the mix of CBs too.
Maybe Greaves absolutely kicks on and starts bossing it at the top level, which would be brilliant all round, but I can't see us relying on it.

I absolutely agree he certainly does but he's still only 25. I like Kipre but for us to succeed as a club we need Greaves to play and to keep getting better given the 15M outlay so these are really good signs.
