A lot of people on here said that the only purpose of it was for supply and demand reasons so the club knew how much it could drain out of the fans.
Naively, I didn't want to believe that for all the good we have done and thought it was being used to judge interest around expanding the stadium etc.
With the ticket price increases, no early bird offer and removal of physical season tickets (which I assume is being done to make it harder to give to mates/family etc) it just proves that those people were bang on the money doesn't it?
It's quite sad really as I have always liked to think we are different to other clubs but suppose that is the modern way of things and we have to accept that we are a 'coprorate' organisation. |  | | |  |

As others have already pointed out, this is not a club decision, but a requirement for playing in the PL. It has to be introduced if we plan to play in the PL at any point after the end of this season.

As others have already pointed out, this is not a club decision, but a requirement for playing in the PL. It has to be introduced if we plan to play in the PL at any point after the end of this season.

And yet the Premier League turns a blind eye to the legalised touting of Viagogo, Stubhub, SeatPick etc who openly provide a platform to resell tickets at an extortionate rate with extortionate charges. | | | |
