Your more confident than me we probably lose at charlton and wba away as most sides near the bottom have turned us over ie pompey Oxford Leicester I don't trust these players to have the mentality hope I'm wrong.

That’s the thing. Some clubs fans would bite their arms off for the chance of being guaranteed (almost) at the very least a playoff spot.

Yep. And whatever happened in the last minute of the saints game today that was likely to be the requirement. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Many clubs dont have £70 odd mill of transfers sat on the bench each week. Playoffs is bare minimum expectation. Top two has been handed to us of we want it.

I think the jury is out, they could go from the most expensive bunch of flops to a team that goes down in history in the next 3 weeks, what will they choose?

Why would they? 90% know they will be replaced if we go up.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. It’s fine margins, and that 5% of doubt. Where you know the gap and the gulf, and that you were found very wanting recently. It has an impact. Players knowing they’ll be sold or won’t feature much, you’d hope some would want the challenge, but a squad like our 23/24, or like Millwall where they don’t have the negative experience and would run over their granny just to get the chance. That’s powerful. No Fear. Enough of our players seem to have doubts to be a concern. Look at Mats. Played top flight football, hasn’t had the negative experience and looks like he’s desperate to prove himself - nobody else looks like they believe that’s their level, maybe Philogene does, but that’s pretty damning.

That’s the thing, if we don’t go straight up we’ve wasted a golden opportunity! I still think we will, though.
