I used to live next door to a man who was so obsessed with having a perfect lawn he’d cut it most days with a push mower.
He wouldn’t let anyone,not his wife or children on it,only on special occasions as a treat sort of thing  |
My late uncle was like that.
Used to work for a couple in Solihull when I lived over in the midlands who had us cut the grass every week unless there was snow or frost. It was feckin huge and she liked having dead straight stripes to look at from the conservatory window. She would stand and watch to make sure there were no slight bends. Got really good at it to be honest 😁 |  |

The best gardening advantage I have had this year has been employing my 17 year old grandson to help me.
He needs the cash and I need the heavy lifting, digging, fence painting and scarifying done.
But the main plus has been spending time with him and teaching him about horticulture.
