Sorry, was referring to xGA. Despite conceding 57 in 2023/24 our xGA was 48 whereas, this season, despite conceding 47 our xGA was 54. Based on data, we should have conceded more goals this season than in 23/24. It surprised me as well; suggests we let in a few goals we shouldn't have done under the old guard whilst for away with a few this time around. As much as I liked Hladky, keeper performance, perhaps? |

Perhaps that's where I'm going wrong - I was reading it as the defence was giving up less clearcut chances in 2023/24 so conceding more difficult changes i.e. goals struck from far out.

I think we all loved and adored him whilst he was here, and I was certainly sad to see him go.
However, his comments upon leaving the club were just absurd, and McKenna’s reaction said it all as well. Said it before, and I’ll say it again, when you compare Chaplins interview upon his arrival at Pompey, where he spent 99% of it praising Ipswich and McKenna, having 2 days previously started for us, tells its own story.
Woolfie was on the scrap heap here (rightly or wrongly) before McKenna turned up, and within 3 years he was a Prem player, who’d have been well remunerated for his efforts, also not forgetting that he signed a new contract here 6 months prior to leaving, which if it was all ‘politics’, why bother signing it?
