Assuming we won't be able to attract Vlahovich from Juventus then I noticed that Jonas Wind of Wolfsburg is available on a free?27 years old, 6 foot 3 and proven scorer in Bundesliga

Buy Delap on the cheap. Not working for him at Chelsea and they wouldn't worry about taking a loss. Larin to compete/compliment Delap. Azon as backup. Sell Hirst to a Championship club.

Delap is a no brainer. Knows the manager and knows the system. Won't need time to gel.

I'm not sure Delap is a no brainer currently. His attitude left a lot to he desired second half of the last prem season, and he was only in it for himself. To the point that we were a better team with Hirst.

I reckon we will end up with Will Lankshear (in the mould of Delap that we know KM likes and supposedly had approach rejected in Jan) and a big signing from Europe (£30M type player).

Makes a lot of sense. 1 in 4 for Oxford and would be a great development player at the right price. Say 7-10m

I don't think we'll be looking at Delap in all honesty.

We'll be playing in a different way and we need a striker up top who will be able to look after the ball.

I think there will be some absolute randoms.

I'd say it's certainly not a 'no-brainer' - with the season he's just had at Chelsea, is there any guarantee he'd get the confidence back that made him a decent scorer at that level and fit into our team, that he hasn't shown for arguably the last season and a half? Would we have to adjust our playing style to suit him again, and would that be the right way to go?
Yes, there's arguments for maybe a loan spell back with us for a year, but it's not a guaranteed success for me.

3 league goals for Sporting this season I believe (2 off the bench). Hasn't started many games.
