The data set the club were using was a product from Brighton, so when Ipswich went up they were not permitted to use it. It was the plan, Ashton said, to be in a position where Ipswich had their own data system rather than relying on others. Not sure where it has got to, but along with wider recruitment I presume it's been developed greatly. |  | | |

The cynical view might also be that it’s also owned/part owned by one of the private equity investors.
