He is going nowhere. He is doing and has done way too much good at the club

The whole investigation thing is a joke. I dont believe he actually sang it, stopped short, but even if he didn't there are way too many things the police need to worry about that that. Are they going to investigate all of us who sing it on the terraces?

I haven't commented on this incident at all. From the little I have seen of it, I am surprised he is under investigation for it but I think it is poor form from the CEO/Chairman. If he genuinely got carried away in the moment, fair enough.

My issue with Ashton is his unprofessionalism over what he did with Farage; his promoting a political party, gifting them political promotional material, giving them free reign to film promotional footage, failing to accept responsibility for any of that and issuing a non-apology.

That is why I am Ashton out. Nothing to do with whether he chose to sing/join in with an inappropriate song.

The fact he may well be going nowhere is what disappoints me the most. He is a stain on our club and lessens the pleasure I feel in us doing well. The sooner he does go (and at some point he will) the better. Hopefully without doing any more significant damage before he has gone. I am amazed Gamechanger are happy to leave him without any accountability too.

I was referring to the Delia outrage, however the context mentioned in your reply is

Im not a delicate flower and think the whole thing is no big deal, who Ashton wants to enjoy a glass of white with doesn't interest me.

I dont particularly like Farage, however I also dont believe he's the reincarnation of Hitler like some of you dafties think.

Does that clear it up for you ? Perhaps stick another poll up ?

I don't think Farage is the reincarnation of Hitler.

But when his policies align directly with 1930s Nazi Germany, it worries me greatly.

Are you totally unconcerned with the demonisation of one set of people (immigrants)? Note it isn't illegal immigrants they really demonise. They go with the term "illegals" because they want to dehumanise these people. But they want to remove indefinite leave to remain. In other words, people who have done everything right to gain the correct status to live here. They want to, at a drop of a new law, turn them into illegal residents.

They want to set up internment camps for 10s of thousands of people. That can only be people with indefinite leave to remain because they could never identify 10s of thousands of illegal immigrants. Any illegal immigrants are living off the radar. They aren't registering and claiming benefits because they are here illegally. The most they would be doing is working illegally and not paying any tax (since registering for tax would alert the authorities to them).

So, no I don't think Farage is the reincarnation of Hitler. However, anyone who cannot see his policies are directly reminiscent and therefore equally dangerous must be choosing to ignore the evidence in plain sight.

You get it- the position carries a certain level of expected public behaviour and professionalism regardless of context.

This wasn't him at a private party, it was a works do.
People get sacked for misbehaving on works do's all the time.

Anyway, apologists, will carry on being apologists, regardless.
