| The National League showing the insanity of the play offs 16:31 - May 10 with 1110 views | pointofblue | Rochdale finished 16 points off Boreham Wood, yet seems like they're going to miss out on promotion on the equivalent of a cup final. Extending the Championship to eight clubs next season makes it even more ridiculous. Edit: Sorry, six clubs in the play offs next season, not eight. [Post edited 10 May 16:42]

It's all down to the EFL clubs to vote for the change, and they're not going to go against self preservation.

If they held on against York they would’ve gone up automatically but they couldn’t.

Reverse of what happened against York in the regular season.

Very true - but still can't help but think they're something of a money spinning farce, as much as I am a hypocrite by watching them. Mind you, when a team in sixth can possibly qualify for the "Champions" League, it just sums up football in general.
