My dad got a police caution for aiming his car at one that annoyed him in Woodbridge some years ago. Silly s0d.

He claimed she deliberately Kept him waiting and waved her lollipop at him. She claimed otherwise and had witnesses.

He went nuts. When the old bill turned up at his house he was still raging, but the police wallah said ‘look, bloke with BMW v lady doing a school crossing patrol with witnesses’. ‘Think about it. Take the caution or it’ll go to court and the outcome won’t be good’.

Oh how I laughed. The truth of it? Knowing him I suspect he lost patience and moved slowly towards her and that was all there was to it.

He got into bother loads of times with stuff like that. It was funny, the best being blackballed from the Conservative Club for abusing the Chairman’s wife.

Idiot over the lollipop lady (I told him so). Show a little patience and smile.

Try riding a bicycle on Ipswich roads, around these same drivers, I use a body cam for the same reasons as the school crossing folk do.

Ime some drivers are just insane or off their heads on drugs, but alot are just a hair breadth trigger away from going full postal on people, like they will drive a 2 tonne vehicle directly at you at speed often accelerating, and also not believe thats a problem.

The crossing people on Foxhall Road near the Golf ard a pain in the butt. I fully expect to be held up when the kids leave school. But, when there are long tailbacks of traffic in both directions, they still insist on stopping to allow a solo adult to cross on their way to pick up their kids.
If they'd wait until there are half a dozen adults, the traffic would flow freely other than the very short period when there are kids around. And tempers would be far less tested.

Well i bet most of those driving at that time are just picking kids up from school anyway. There'd be far less traffic if theyd just all walked.

And it still doesn't excuse anyone getting worked up by being slightly delayed, leave earlier if youre going to be late,accept driving a car causes congestion, and definitely do not use a vehicle which can kill or seriously injure people as a means of intimidation, which often spirals into actual KSI incidents and serious consequences, well it would if the courts actually upheld the prosecutions but thats another debate
