We need a couple of mid 30s year olds, experienced Prem players.

What are Trippier's plans? Is he retiring?

If not, give him a 2 year deal.

RIP Sir Bobby

Hang on Wally, I'll just message him and find out.

OP: Youre bang on the money for me. Was thinking exactly the same thing whilst watching the Toon game yesterday.

Now and again, like once every three or four years, I post something that isn't absolute rubbish.

But yes, I think he'd do a job for us.

RIP Sir Bobby

Trippier or Walker for RB, either would be such strong additions.

He will be 36 in September. Two year deal? His appearances have declined year on year as age and injuries have taken their toll. Not for me unless it’s a cheap one year punt and assuming he would be coming here for more than just a little pension top up.

Have to agree with this. Definitely on the decline, and only very occasionally does he pop up with a performance that suggests he can still do it in the Prem. Unless he wants to be Ashley Young 2.0, I'd think we'll be giving this one a swerve.

With Furlong and Johnson already in the building, I think if we sign a RB it'll be a youngster on loan.

Why can't we get the experience from the coaching staff? Why does it have to be an over-the-hill player who's great in the dressing room, but ultimately doesn't play that often or is looking for the last pay day.

Sorry.... but I'm not completely sold by all another Ashley Young signing. The last time I saw Young play he was awful and got torn apart playing at RB. We didn't miss him at all when he was injured.

Not every experienced player is going to be a Xhaka. A Xhaka-type signing seems to be now en vogue, but maybe that's down to Xhaka himself and not his age or experience.
