Como have qualified for the CL next season so hard to see him getting much of a look-in there. He's 23 & has played over 140 senior games now so I doubt he's going to become a huge predator so although he'll be on offer, I hope we steer clear.

Surely as a striker the natural instinct to finish should be a pre requisite, if you're a professional at 23 needing a sports psychologist to get you thinking in that moment of shooting, then you're not going to be a clinical finisher.

I'm not downplaying the role of sports psychology btw, but would you use one for a goalkeeper to help them in shot stopping? Surely by the time they hit professional level that would be the first thing they would be doing in order to climb the ladder.

Fwiw he'd be an adequate 3rd choice in the PL, but it would have to be either or with him and Hirst, not both.

I see it as more of a mindset thing in the moment before striking the ball though, almost like a kid getting too excited as a matter of habit and then overstretching, leaning back etc. etc.

Everyone can always tune themselves up in these kind of ways.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

Of the top 10 goalscorers in this year's Premier League, 5 of them had never hit double figures in a season by 23.

I see 2? Semenyo and Welbeck?

The others had hit 10+ goals in a season by 23/24?

You can use whatever stats you like, much like the Asian players "get cut from trophy lifting" post.

The Kane example above as well. I'm pretty sure he was probably banging in goals at youth Level before making it?

Azon is not good enough......... The same people saying he's good enough are probably the ones who thought that John-Jules was brilliant too....!

The 23 is referring to age, not year/season.

And no, Kane was not 'knocking them in' at youth level. His breakthrough was at 21, in 2014/15. Prior to that he scored 5,7,0,2,0 and 3.

I Know its age. at 23/ 24, they all scored double figures bar Welbeck (playing regularly at Man utd) and Semenyo (OK you got 1)

Maybe not knocking them in but he helped Millwall stay up and won young player of the year. At what? 19 or 20?

Think he was seen as a lot better at that age than Azon is at this age....
