I remember a couple of times he didn't chase a slightly off pass, and would gesture to team mates it wasn't good enough, I mean, he was right but he needed to be a bit more considered given he was playing in a side with George Hirst, Sam Morsy and Nathan Broadhead, it wasn't going to be prime Barca-esque stuff. I wouldn't be against him in the squad, an upgrade on Chappers/SS but he'd need to be more patient with his team mates for me. |  |

I would argue that playing two in Midfield who weren't particularly quick (Morsy plus one of Cajuste, Phillips, Luongo and Taylor) and who liked to "play their way out of trouble" against managers who had noted this and put three quicker, stronger players there, was our biggest hindrance. We had better results when playing a more conventional wide midfielder eg Johnson at RM, rather than pure attacking wide players. |  | |  |
