Fascinating to know which came first or caused what. Massive drop off in form and application leading to drugs, or vice versa.

| Sterling on 07:04 - May 31 with 642 views | Churchman | He was on £330k a week at Chelsea for shining his rear end then stinking the Emirates out for half a season. I’m sure some would see him as a marquee signing. I see a player that’s washed up happily sitting on a heap of money who would no doubt love a last pay day. Somebody will buy him, just as they did one legged Broja. I hope we steer clear of these desperate types of signing. | | | |

Not even sure he has. Legs completely went. Lost his pace and then his confidence. Doesn't have stamina now. Woeful at Feyenoord by the sounds of it. Not sure where he can go from here. Honestly looks league one level now.

I hate these kind of footballers who are basically stealing a living. He was genuinely class and I know he legitimately signed a lucrative contract offered to him and it was up to Chelsea to honour that, but, in my mind, he took the p1ss. It doesn't matter if he was going into training every day so he could still "honour" his contract, he should have been looking to do better to fulfill his side of the contract or find a new home where he could play at the highest level and give back ( even with a pay cut). Choice between Chappers or Sterling and I'd go for Chappers as he'd give everything he could for us and he'd be helping everyone else behind the scenes. Sterling is just about him and a mercenary.

He really was. You wonder if he played far too much senior football at too young an age. See also, Dele Alli. I worry that Saka’s wheels will come off at a relatively young age as well. It’s a shame everyone is so desperate to get stuck into these young men when this happens.

The difference with Saka - from the little I see, at least - is that he appears to be a much better professional. With Sterling and Alli, the tabloids were never far behind. I can't remember ever having seen Saka get caught up in negative press. Which might suggest, at the very least, that the attitude is right.
