I'm pretty sure I didn't mention the quality of international team our players played for. Not much to shout about for either club, but them being our rivals I took the Mickey a little. Shocking.

Played in a World Cup Semi Final in 1994 whilst he was still with us, where they lost to Italy 2-1.

Can't think of another Ipswich Player managing that of the top of my head.

Jamie Peters vs Arsenal during the home leg of that semi-final was something else. That's one of the best individual performances I have seen from a Town player in my lifetime. Jewell came in, dropped him and that was that. He was still a better player for us than 99% of the crud Jewell signed though.
