1. It could be literally what it is said to be. 5 years of pressure and frankly extreme dedication and time input. He's tired, the pressure over the last 12 months has been huge, and he has a young family he barely sees. He has the money to take a breather and enjoy it.

We have one of the usual suspects claiming that Ashtons comments after the transfer window are the main cause. We have another of them saying, yet again, that Ashton is doing the recruiting, and not to the standard KM is happy with.

Just stop it ffs.

Seems to me that the guy just needs a break for wellbeing and/or maybe family reasons. We all know what a punishing schedule he set himself, at his desk by 6am six days a week.

He has integrity, so all those suspecting ulterior motives, or saying “something doesn’t small right” can do one as far as I’m concerned.
