Part of me wants us to become this horrible horrible team grinding out 1-0 wins and winding up every side in the PL along the way.
Dark arts, ultra defensive, hoofball, all of that good stuff. Proper Brexit football. The satisfaction would be amazing if we stay up.
Appointing someone like Dyche as a bridge before moving back to attractive football once we are established in the PL could be the way forward.
Someone on here mentioned Brighton having Hughton before going on to De Zerbi/Hurzeler and it's obviously been a successful blueprint for them. Who's to say we can't do the same? |  | | |  |

The issue with that, is 'going back' to expansive football is very difficult if your transfer strategy is based on that style, and they are all drilled that way. |  |

I don't really want Dyche spending 150m of our money on his players and then maybe not even staying up.
Brighton was different, he took them up and they were already his players in his style. It's not a fair comparison.

Why Brexit?
On the football side I wouldn't have any issue with it as a shortish term plan. My main reservation is I'm not convinced Dyche is any more likely to achieve it than some of the alternatives. If you could guarantee he was successful in keeping us up we would be foolish to not hold our noses for a year or 2, but there's the very real possibility of it being both dross and unsuccessful. |  | | |

If you go for a Dyche character, it's got to work, i.e. stay up. If we go down it'll be "i'd rather go down playingbetter football", which I suppose I agree with.
I'm not against hiring a Dyche character, and I think he's got a much better chance of doing it that the fans favourite OGS, but it will be a hard watch. | | | |
