All I have watched so far was five minutes of Canada vs Bosnia & Herzegovina. Should probably try and get into it. I don't know 99% of the players anymore as I don't pay attention to football outside of Town. I don't even know who all the England squad are! |  |

I'm enjoying it so far, games have been entertaining, atmosphere looks fantastic, grounds have mostly been full even with the ridiculous FIFA pricing and some games with teams you wouldn't think that would be that attractive to the paying public.
I guess if you are a Daily Mail or Daily Express type then things not being quite done the "English" way I can see why you would put a negative stance on proceedings and those rags trying their best to find any fault.

I think the World Cup will always be good when it gets going, there is just something special about it, and despite the best efforts of FIFA to ruin it the appeal of a World Cup just endures.
That being said I can't really say I am particularly into this one yet, mostly because the timings just aren't great for a UK audience. The World Cup generally means football on throughout the day that you can dip in and out of, having to wait until 6 or even 8 for the first game to kick off makes it harder to get into. Also the drinks breaks are ridiculous, fine when it is hot, but in air conditioned stadiums they aren't needed, and is the most transparent cash grab by FIFA just to squeeze in a couple more ad breaks. | | | |

Nope. I’ve still not watched a game other than a few snippets of the opener. When they move the kickoffs to 12.30 and 3pm here then I’ll watch a few, as there’s only so much Loose Women and Take The Highroad I can handle. |  |
