Could be bothered to translate one and this is what it says
Good old Gary, with his gleaming white teeth, arrived without compensation because he's unemployed, so he's worthless on the balance sheet. Which means a small transfer fee for us to sign him would be a 100% net profit in the accounts, especially before the end of the financial year on June 30th. Also, it will be harder to sell players during that same period because of the World Cup.
O'Neill himself won't hesitate long between a farm team and the tractor boys; we're still talking about the rednecks, but the latter play in the Premier League. At least he won't have given us a load of demagogic nonsense like that other jerk.
In short, the only big question is whether Ipswich really wants him.
And the little bonus question is what kind of crazy scheme Puyi de Balgau will come up with if this happens.

I'd say it's pretty irrelevant, but they are losing a manager who got more points over the same number of games than his predecessor did. I feel sorry for clubs like Strasbourg or more particularly their supporters. They are just a toy to be messed around with by Chelsea. Hopefully they'll get themselves out of it at some point.

I'd love to know what the original French version of this was as I have no idea who or what Puyi de Balgau is???
I'm a Strasbourg season ticket holder and the general feeling is anger at BlueCo and disappointment with Marc Keller, the club president. The Kop was already on strike the first 15 minutes of each game last year and this just makes the relationship between the club and the supporters even worse.
We had some amazing games under O'Neil, especially the 4-0 win against Mainz in the Conference League 1/4 final, but we had some shockers too. We were awful in both legs against Rayo Vallecano (who were a very crafty team). We were also awful in the French Cup semi-final against Nice, a home game we really should have won.
He was unlucky with injuries to Panichelli, Emegha, Moreira, Doué and others and at the end of the season said he wanted to build a squad with his choice of players, knowing that half the team will probably head over to Chelsea.
Many of the supporters struggle to accept how someone who only a few weeks ago was saying how much he loved the club, loved the region, the food and wanted to build his own squad left at the first chance.
Not sure I'll be wearing my Town shirts often at the Meinau next season!

Bizarre here. Get two downvotes for translating a post on the Strasbourg forum. Anyway that’s what it says. No idea either

No worries and the down votes weren't from myself. Post the link and I'll translate, even if my English is a bit rusty nowadays. Racingstub is the main Racing fans forum that I keep an eye on.

I'm going to be in Strasbourg on 30th June. I'll walk around wearing a Town shirt & see if any of the locals assault me.
Cool! What will you be here for?
You won't have any problem walking around in an Ipswich shirt. We just don't really wear football shirts in the city of any description unless there's a game on or you're still at school

And if you need any recommendations for restaurants, etc just let me know. The Meinau stadium tours are only available on weekends and school holidays unfortunately.

This is what it says. It translated to what I pasted. That is from Racingstub. I just chose the first lengthy post out of interest to see what it translated into and that’s it.

Thanks! So after a bit of searching Balgau is where Marc Keller, the Strasbourg President is from. Even after 30 years here I'm still discovering local village names. Puyi is apparently a word for Chinese emperor, so you helped me learn a new French word.

Out of interest, do you think there is anyone in the Strasbourg squad that GON will want to sign for Ipswich?
I see it is a relatively young squad and obviously there is the relationship with BlueCo/Chelsea, so I'm not sure which players are part of that connection. Could Enciso be someone having connections with us previously but also having PL experience.

while the connection might help us to get a decent loanee from Chelsea (Delap, anyone?).

Good question. The names that immediately come to mind are goalkeeper Mike Penders, left midfielder Diego Moreira and striker Joaquín Panichelli.
Penders (likely heading to Chelsea) is a fantastic shot stopper but his distribution is heart in the mouth stuff at times and he tends to forget his primary role is in goal and not as an outfield player. Strasbourg seems to be a good goalkeeping academy as Sels at Forest and Petrovic at Bournemouth both came through Strasbourg
Moreira is a player I really like. Fast, talented and passionate. I think he's solid and fast enough for the Premier League. Some great ball skills.
Panichelli is out injured with an ACL injury, but even though he missed the last couple of months was still voted player of the season. He's big and strong can make his presence felt in the box.
Barco appears to be off to Chelsea but not sure how well he'll do. Godo was great in the second half of the season.
As long as we don't sign defender Lucas Høgsberg... he's absolutely terrible.
