I've been a fan of JS for many years. Unfortunately injuries have blighted his career. Without them he'd have been truly world class and possibly in more than one position. More than his past injuries I am worried about him not being able to select the right boots, he couldn't wait to throw them off at full, after extra, time last night. A case for ensuring that players have footwear that expands with heat and humidity at, as close as possible, the same rate as their feet in somewhere like Miami ? [Post edited 12 Jul 19:21]

There aren’t many clubs in the world that wouldn’t benefit from a fit Stones in their squad IMO. Obviously had his injury problems but he’s still only 32. Guess it depends if he wants to play regular football or if he’s happy with a support role. Could see him going somewhere like Leeds for the game time, back to Yorkshire and no doubt they would pay him a decent whack. |  | | |
