Anyone know if he’s actually been linked with anyone?
Seems to have been quiet on his next club.

I've been a fan of JS for many years. Unfortunately injuries have blighted his career. Without them he'd have been truly world class and possibly in more than one position. Someone somewhere will still get a hell of a useful player if he can just remain fit. That is the gamble anyone takes.

Agree with all of that, just find it weird that given he could be about to play in a World Cup Semifinal that he’s seemingly not been linked with anyone at all.

Yes, that is a little strange, maybe the injury list is putting clubs off. At the right price though?

More than his past injuries I am worried about him not being able to select the right boots, he couldn't wait to throw them off at full, after extra, time last night. A case for ensuring that players have footwear that expands with heat and humidity at, as close as possible, the same rate as their feet in somewhere like Miami ?

I'm certain he won't be expecting to earn that at his next club.
To suggest any club signing him would have to match the 200k he earnt in his prime at Man City is daft.

Juventus, Napoli, Bayern Munich and Marseille among those linked so far this summer

There aren’t many clubs in the world that wouldn’t benefit from a fit Stones in their squad IMO. Obviously had his injury problems but he’s still only 32. Guess it depends if he wants to play regular football or if he’s happy with a support role. Could see him going somewhere like Leeds for the game time, back to Yorkshire and no doubt they would pay him a decent whack.

So if his contract is up don't you think he wants a nice fat signing on fee. If he stays in Europe he will want a hundred grand or more in Saudi let's be realistic.

And you would think that any deal offered to a 32 years old injury prone defender would include a substantial pay-and-play element.

And so they should be, still a quality performer. In my opinion but for the catalogue of injuries would have been one of the all time great defenders and as I put in another post, possibly another position as well. Its a case of any club weighing up the pro's and cons.

when he's already made a shed load of money, the appeal of Saudi (is there any, really don't know) won't be so great. If I was him I would prioritize my next move by where I want to play not by how much spondoolah I can earn. Thinking about it, I wish I was him !!

One of these or a club like these seems to make sense - with his experience and style and the fact most European leagues have a few less games, are slightly less intense than the PL and also a winter break I think he'll be a big success

Na, he'd be better off going to a massive club on the up, in the Prem who don't have European games
