| Season Ticket Ballot 10:52 - Jul 20 with 6251 views | Billywitch | Has anyone else been lucky in the Season Ticket Ballot? Speaking to a friend at a charity football match yesterday, he was something like 450th on the waiting list, but got an email saying he'd been picked in the ballot to be able to purchase a season ticket for the coming season. Didn't believe him to start with - as I assumed that the point of having a waiting list means if you are 1st 2nd 3rd etc you'll be contacted if/when people cancel, and you'll have first refusal - however, he went on to show me the emails from the club saying he had been picked from a ballot. | | | | |

| Season Ticket Ballot on 12:55 - Jul 20 with 4134 views | Zx1988 | It certainly seems the best option, given the random allocation of the queue places. It makes the idea of a queue completely non-sensical, though, if tickets will be allocated by ballot. It would just seem to reduce it to a marketing tool more than anything else - "if you give up your season ticket, you'll be right at the back of a 6,000-long queue". | |

| Season Ticket Ballot on 13:11 - Jul 20 with 4076 views | BlueMoon | Is there any need to have a ballot and a queue? Suppose if the ballot expedites a small number of tickets through the queue then it helps people way down maintain an interest. Be good if the club can make the process clear. If they don't people will get disillusioned if they hear others further down are receiving tickets before them. | | | |

| Season Ticket Ballot on 15:19 - Jul 20 with 3809 views | SuffolkPunchFC | Without seeing the wording of the email it's hard to be sure what it actually means. The original email about the waiting list referred to 'randomised ballot' for queue position. "... we have run the randomised ballot, and we are pleased to share your position on the season ticket waiting list" So maybe similar wording was in this email, and they have reached 450 of the waiting list? If someone has a queue number less than 450, and haven't received the email, that would disprove the hypothesis, otherwise it could mean a lot of people are higher up on the waiting list now. When the waiting list was announced it was promised that you'd be able to see your reducing position in the queue by logging into you Town account, but that never appears to have materialised. | | | |

"Congratulations you have been selected via the ballot you now have X amount of days to purchase a season ticket for the coming season" Along those lines

I'm naturally a pedant when it comes to precise grammar constructs , and that is horribly ambiguous. It could be read as referring to the original ballot priority, or could be read as saying another ballot was run to bypass the waiting list queue. I guess we'll never know, unless we suddenly hear about ~500 new season tickets having been released.
| Season Ticket Ballot on 16:07 - Jul 20 with 3609 views | Vaughan8 | SO is the "queue" number not a queue number if you go into a ballot? Or is it just a small number have been drawn from a ballot. Who knows! I thought the whole point of the number in the queue (which presumably was random) is the order in which they're offered. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It says in the FAQ that you'll be informed when your number changes. "Your waiting list position will be made visible to you and be updated as and when your position changes. " I have only seen a email with my position that was received in the last few weeks. Prior to that I don't think I saw anything and, when I enquired at the shop, they just told me a notification was coming.

"I thought the whole point of the number in the queue (which presumably was random) is the order in which they're offered" Was my take on it too, that said I'm not on the waiting list so haven't spent any time reading through the T&C's - it might be that was always known.

It was pretty explicit that it would be a queue, and how it would work. ” All supporters who sign up will be randomly placed in the queue following the closure of the ballot, with this order then used to allocate the opportunity to purchase a season ticket as and when they become available. ”

So this seems even more bizarre. I’m 350th in the list and have not had anything? How are people below me in the queue getting the option to buy?

Sounds bizarre. When I read this thread last night, I didn’t actually believe it. But now it’s come from the club, how can that be fair? I was lucky enough to get a place in the top 100 in the queue. And yet I read people in the 450s are getting the nod ahead of me. I don’t begrudge them the season ticket but I can’t see how the process follows what the club originally stated.

It's almost like the club follow the threads on TWTD .... Based on all the information in this thread, it seems like the club need to be a LOT more open about how this is happening. With someone saying they have been offered a ticket, and around position 450 in the queue, how are others with much lower numbers not being offered a ticket. Some transparency is needed here - maybe one for Phil or the EADT to contact the club about. Some season tickets available is positive news for the club, but the way it's be handled so far, not so good.
| Season Ticket Ballot on 13:54 - Jul 21 with 2586 views | JX19 | I would also say given the fact people are buying memberships to access the waiting list and retain places that there could be a genuine argument made that the club are misselling or acting very dubious with this. They need to be far more transparent on what’s going on, otherwise I would say they are on shaky ground. Really hope TWTD or local journalists can try and get something from the club on this. | | | |
| Season Ticket Ballot on 17:13 - Jul 21 with 2315 views | algo | I also don’t understand this My son and I are 199th in the season ticket queue and have not received any emails! We also have memberships. Why not just have a ballot and contact the people who came up in that for a season ticket so it’s all done on random, rather than advertise a waiting list order that is obviously not in any order!!! I will email / ring the club tomorrow to ask about this too. | | | |

They have released 90 tickets apparently in order but are claiming You can only have the seats not renewed not choose one that would go on sale For members on a game by game basis

That's very poor if that proves to be the case. What if those in line for a ticket are part of a group, but are only offered individual seats in different areas/stands? What if the only available seat is in an expensive/premium area, but the person on the waiting list either cannot afford it, or doesn't want to sit in that particular area?

Be interesting to know what the season ticket cap is these days. I think when we sold out of season tickets for 2023/24 the cap was 21,000, but I expect with non-renewals this has probably dropped to about 20,000.

This still doesn’t explain why someone 10th hasn’t been allocated one but allegedly someone at 450th has? [Post edited 21 Jul 18:54]

that is really poor from ITFC. The club are aware of how a queue works I'd assume, wonder how Ashton/whoever has made this decision would feel if they were in the queue at Alton Towers with their kids, got 50 from the front then they pulled 100 people from the queue behind him to go on the ride first. Be a bit annoyed I would suspect

Yes, it still doesn’t really stack up, does it. This is a great way for them to disenfranchise nearly 6,000 people in the so-called waiting list ‘queue’. Maybe it’s not quite how it looks, and we don’t have all the relevant information, but on the face of it, it seems a huge own goal right now, and very bad PR. Really needs some transparency about exactly how this has come about, and how someone at 450ish in the queue was ahead of people way lower in the queue.
