Has anyone else been lucky in the Season Ticket Ballot?
Speaking to a friend at a charity football match yesterday, he was something like 450th on the waiting list, but got an email saying he'd been picked in the ballot to be able to purchase a season ticket for the coming season.
Didn't believe him to start with - as I assumed that the point of having a waiting list means if you are 1st 2nd 3rd etc you'll be contacted if/when people cancel, and you'll have first refusal - however, he went on to show me the emails from the club saying he had been picked from a ballot.

They have released 90 tickets apparently in order but are claiming
You can only have the seats not renewed not choose one that would go on sale
For members on a game by game basis |
I’m in the top 90 and I renewed my membership on the day they came out.
But I have had no email from the club.
It’s possible those numbers are assigned to groups, so you could have a group of 4 friends all with the number 20 and 90 season tickets might only go down to 30 in the queue.
But if, and it is an if, someone has got a ticket when they’re 450 in the queue, then that does appear to be wrong or the rules are misleading.
We may not have the full facts here and the 450 thing might be a load of rubbish, but I’m sure the club can appreciate why that may cause unrest.
Maybe the local media will ask the question on behalf of the fans and that will clear it up. [Post edited 22 Jul 10:04]

that is really poor from ITFC.
The club are aware of how a queue works I'd assume, wonder how Ashton/whoever has made this decision would feel if they were in the queue at Alton Towers with their kids, got 50 from the front then they pulled 100 people from the queue behind him to go on the ride first. Be a bit annoyed I would suspect |

Fair enough. It’s not so much people don’t believe you, it’s more it just seems very far removed from the rules that were laid out by the club.
I just can’t see how you can have a ballot when they’ve said you’ll be assigned a position in a queue.

I posted earlier about being 199th in the queue.
I have just spoken on the phone to the ticket office.
She said that a small but limited number of tickets have been made available, the numbers generated in the queue are in the correct order that they will be contacting people on.
So they have started at number 1 and moved on from there. The number of tickets did not reach 199 which is why we have not been allocated and stated that anyone claiming to have been offered a season ticket at a higher number in the queue was giving false information, ( although I appreciate someone on here saw an email that said differently.)
When I questioned about next year and finding out what number I will be once the new allocation have accepted the season tickets on offer she replied.
We won’t be randomly allocated a new number ( in my case 199 ) will not be changed except to come down by the number of season tickets allocated this season. I won’t find out that number until the end of the season ticket window renewal window in Spring/Summer 2027.
The only way to stay on the waiting list is to renew the memberships for this year which I have done, and after that it’s just sit and wait time.

Example a family of four have one number in the queue as they want to buy season tickets together.
