As much as I dislike breaks in the game I am in favour of a hydration break ONLY IF the pitch temperature is 30c or over. The dangers to the players from dehydration etc outweigh my minor annoyance at the game stopping.. | | | |

It might be sensible if it was brought into the game here only when a certain pitch side temperature is reached ( to be agreed on ). And also the break time shortened and absolutely no coaching allowed. |  | | |

Players can take on liquids during natural breaks in the game (injury etc) as they always have, so a ‘Hydration break’ is not necessary. I hate the term. It’s an advert break. Nothing more, nothing less.
I don’t ever recall players collapsing from heat exhaustion or dehydration. Yes, the gam can slow in extreme conditions but that’s all part of the game.
What next? Warming Hut break when it’s cold? How about a sunscreen break when it’s sunny? Or a get dry to prevent colds and flu breaks? For me, it’s a nonsense. Leave the game alone. |  | | |

I was at an East of Scotland League game yesterday (tier 8) and there were hydration breaks in both halves. It was 18c with a nice breeze!!
