EDIT - not that this is in any way a criticism of BA; they do fantastic work. It's just so hypocritical of Ashton to express a desire for a noisy stadium, but refusing to work with fans who want to create said noise. [Post edited 28 Jul 19:32]

PA systems tend to kill the atmosphere not generate it imo. They’re fine for celebrations and walk outs and the like. But they kill the pre-match build of atmosphere. Something had to be done though as the last one was rubbish. |  |

Sadly, there’s an acoustic disconnect between Blue Action, under their sloping roof in the Portman Stand, and those in SBR Lower who are situated in a fairly open environment. It creates a situation where songs often clash. Or, in the case of SBRL, dissipate entirely. | | | |

What PA? Didn't hear a thing last season in the SBR Upper.
Ashton did say they were going to spend a shed load of money on it during this summer. Don't know if they have. They need to to as at the moment it is a severe health and safety issue. |  |

Server is a bit overblown, in the event of an emergency you would of heard they sound from anywhere our side of the orwell bridge. Or followed everyone else in the even of emergency because that is what people do. | |
