Spain saying they have returned 25,000+ back to Morocco today 'voluntarily'
Others saying it is a long-term 'plot' by Israel to destabilise certain countries. Not helped by tweets like this from Netanyahu's son I guess (albeit from 7 years ago)

Without going all Faragey, I did actually find the videos quite disturbing.
They are literally all men of a certain age - no women or kids to be seen. Clearly no respect at all for due process, rule of law nor can i confidently say all of them are fleeing persecution of some kind.
Question is, wtf do you do about it without harming the prospects for people legitimately seeking asylum? This is only going to get worse with climate change and perpetual wars too.

Agree with all that you said, itβs really not good when all this young males are always the ones who seem to be the migrants . Look at the boats coming into this country everyday.

"others saying". no, when you post things like that, it's actually you saying it's a 'plot by israel'. which is frankly disgraceful.
And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

How on earth have you turned this on Israel
Well played ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
I hadn't really. Posted a factually accurate tweet of Netanyahu's son calling on the invasion of Cueta.
And Netanyahu Snr said this in a speech earlier in the year: "Earlier this year, Netanyahu stated that Spain had decided to stand up against Israel and that he would make an example of the country.
"I do not intend to allow any country to wage a diplomatic war against us without paying an immediate price.""
But apparently just posting what they said makes me the bad guy?

Off the back of me posting something from twitter earlier you referred to me as "merry racists and xenophobes"
Not nice is it

Nope. Literally posting to where others are saying it.
you are giving it credence and you should be ashamed. absolutely disgusting conspiracy cr*p. where's your link to someone claiming that 9/11 was israel, or charlie kirk, or the black death. i'm sure you can find someone posting about the elders of zion and post it saying you're just linking what others have said.

It's literally the leader of Israel and his son. Not just a random account.
As I've said before, I had colleagues die in 9/11, so no. Interesting you went there though...

"i need evidence" - provides it "no not that evidence"
Laughable
In fairness to Billywitch, I doubt most regular MSN would cover this in the same way for obvious reasons. Not sure all 50,00 can be tarred in the same way though?

Well quite.
The problem is, what do you do about it without penalising legitimate asylum claims and people genuinely seeking refuge.

Yeah of course, here you go
Billywitch: "Those people who live in and love their town of Cueta are the ones where my thoughts sit. Invaded by thousands of criminals smashing their home town to pieces. Just awful scenes
Hopefully the Police/military have/are mobilising and take action"
bartyg: "Can you link to where you've seen any of that please"
Billywitch: Links to video posted on a dubious X account...which appears to be the same location as this video from a Moroccan news outlet reporting riots in the Moroccan port town of Beni Ansar on the border with Melilla, 400km away from Ceuta.

Lovely work. I expect Visegrad are in the midst of writing their grovelling apology as we speak.

No, it's not citizenship. It's a one year renewable residence permit for those who can prove they have been present in Spain for the previous 6 months or more and have no criminal record. It was more an amnesty and applications closed in June.
It's nothing like opening the doors to immigrants or has any meaningful knock on effects for the rest of Europe.
"Contrary to the image portrayed by some anti-immigration rhetoric of βyoung African men arriving by boat,β official data reveals a different applicant profile. According to the Spanish newspaper 20 Minutos, 70% of applicants are from Latin America, with Colombians making up the largest single group at 30% of the total."
Someone on the World Service also said that the vast majority had arrived legally but overstayed their visa.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are a fair few Brits among them who were below the radar when the Brexit guarantee kicked in, just like the fitter I came across a couple of years ago who had been in Spain but off the record for a few decades.

That makes sense, when on the news here the majority of those shown queuing for applications appeared to be from South American countries but I hadn't seen the figures.
The Brits had no excuse for not sorting out their legal situation pre / post Brexit and the Spanish government made registration very simple. They hardly deserved a second chance but as you say there are likely to have been some.
The idea that Spain has opened its doors to mass immigration is demonstrably nonsense but continues to be repeated by right wing media and filters through to everyday chitchat as it has here.

Visegrad making things up to drive its right-wing agenda?

I can't see what the issue is here.
Netenyahu's son previously suggests that Arabs seeking to regain previously conquered lands should turn their attention to Spain.
Netenyahu then threatens that Spain will pay an 'immediate price' in retaliation for having stood up to Israel.
There is wide speculation that the events in Cueta are not necessarily organic, and may be as a result of external influences.
In such an instance, I can't see how it is in any way improper to suggest that there may be a link here.
Yeah, I don't see the outrage here. Israel and the US have recently been threatening Spain. Relations with Morocco have always been strained. Then there's the smuggling gangs and their backers.
Tens of thousands of young Moroccans didn't independently wake up yesterday morning and decide they were going to give it a go. The only logical explanation is of outside influence by one or more parties working together.
