Sunderland fans think they'll have no problem getting a result in a fortnight even without better players coming in, United fans think they don't need to rush to get signings, because they are playing Hull and us first. Most people seem to have us finishing bottom or 19th. Meanwhile we've been quietly building a squad with international and champions league experience in it. It's got shades of 2000/01. Coventry are like us from two years ago, a long absence from the league and a good story, and Hull are useful for anyone looking to make a zany prediction. We are a parachute team so inevitably we are less exciting, even though it makes us more likely to stay up.

Now 16/1 best price, was 18/1 earlier in the window so slightly improved.

That's shorter odds than last time. I think a top 10 was 25/1 with bet365

It’s not a question of people being upbeat about Hull’s chances, they are so unfancied that most people haven’t realised they are in the EPL.

| Written off - And I like it on 10:37 - Aug 8 by Nutkins_Return | If I'm honest I think relegation is the most likely outcome. But I don't even mind thinking like that. I'm going to enjoy the journey, the signings and seeing what we can do. Will try not to get to down if it goes the same way as last time but it's hard. We have been in different divisions each season for what 5 now! So a rebuild every single year. Everyone will lose their minds that it WILL take a bit of time to gel. Sometimes it can click faster than others (like Sunderland). I agree I like us being written off though. Let's see. [Post edited 8 Aug 12:39]

Why don't you think we can't do a Sunderland? We will finish above Cov and Hull and there are a number of clubs who could be in trouble
