I wonder how many people who applied for a physical season ticket will go to away games and happily use the digital ticket, surely the club will look at that

How anyone survives without a phone these days is beyond me (not saying I agree that everyone should have one).

My mum is mid 70s and she's mastered online banking and everything else you need a phone for. And she was never a techy person.

my aunt is soon to be in her 80s, doesnt have a smartphone, doesnt want one, so is unlikely to ever go to a football game at Portman Rd again now.

she also cant drive to places for days out because you need an app to pay for car parking nearly everywhere.

you do reach a point in your life where modern life overtakes you and you get left behind, and that will happen to all of us at some stage, however technically competent you may think are.

and thats not even before you start to lose mental faculties when even operating something as basic as a tv remote control to change channel becomes confusing to you.

Respectfully, rather than complain about it on here, why not lobby the club to introduce wearable/carriable NFC options? I suspect they already plan this tbh.

Interesting to see that even e-Tickets are something that German fans have railed against. There was a banner at the weekend that I can't find now, but there were also fairly wide-spread protests back in 2024:



One link I found suggested that a game between Hertha and Lokomotive Leipzig had been interrupted by tennis balls in a protest against e-ticketing.


I had a lovely home printed ticket from the berlin website. Very re-assuring to have the physical thing in my sweaty paw!
