Whilst i refrained from speaking to much about the farage stuff. And I have some misgivings on him in regards to local media. It cant be argued that hes an incredible ceo.

3 promotions in 4 years - he’s done a great job, what a time to be a Town fan, after years of mediocrity (if we are being kind).

But the owners have backed him BIG, so he’s under real pressure this season, a meek, uncompetitive relegation might see him gone.

Like KM. Ashton has had a dream of a club to be part of

I still dont like the whole chairman/ceo thing however the benefits of that is ashton cam simply get on with the task of running a football club and financially answer thw e questions later

I feel he takes alot of self plaudits. But lets be honest we all would. But ive doubt he delegates and then hounds the sht out of his staff to do the things that need doing.

It can and i will. An incredible CEO does not behave as he did earlier this year. The poor judgement is a mistake, it happens. His response to it and the lies that followed were not how an incredible CEO acts. He does some very good things, he’s more than competent but i’ll still be glad when he’s gone.

For sure got really good vision off the pitch, which is a big part of the job, thinking multiple years ahead.

Easy to say that anyone can do it that so well-funded, however, you still have to execute it. It's great we have insight from this side of the pond as well when it comes to projects like the training facility with major league sports experience.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Great Chairman too 😉😉.

This season will be the big test.

We live in a world where no one is perfect, most certainly me included, we all make mistakes, again me included. I just wonder how many of us have never tried to cover at least one up? I hold my hand up as guilty as charged of doing that. No holier than though preaching from me. As far as I know no one has died or even been injured as a result of MA's "mistake ". Perfectly fair enough if some still don't like it and can't forget, but banging on about it at every tiny opportunity is getting very repetitive and boring. By the way, I can't stand Farage either, but I can say that about over 90% of greasy pole climbers, I mean politicians.

people are banging on about it because there has been zero recompense - if Ashton had had some comeuppance then it would likely be a different story

If this was another thread started by someone attacking or criticising Ashton I’d be inclined to agree with you. It wasn’t though. The OP was saying how great he is and what a wonderful job he’s doing. The responses to it aren’t “banging on”, they’re just disagreeing with the statement that he’s an incredible CEO.

The club read this board. Me and many others don’t want them to think that what he did earlier this year is forgotten and some stadium upgrades and spending money on players make it all ok. A sizeable minority (and I believe it is a minority) will never want him as our CEO and look forward to the day he goes. I’m the meantime most will stay quiet, give him credit where it’s due but will not be bought by him overseeing the financing by others of our club. He talks as if the money is coming out of his own pocket. It isn’t. He does very well financially out of our club .

And how do your family take your “quiet” protest?

Cowardly? Have kids? Teaching them to keep quiet?

You’ve lost me. Friends and family know what I think of him. I don’t need to make the same point every single day. He’s doing a decent job overall, I just chose to challenge a gushing post saying what a great CEO he is. In my view he isn’t and the day he goes will be one I’ll enjoy.
