Just wondering, as I don't want it to impact our season.
Stubbed my toe into the corner of a skirting board. Split open my toe. Another one very bruised and swollen. Joked I was walking along and the wall came from nowhere.
At the beach, digging in sand with my toddler, got a seashell splinter three quarters of the way up the underside off my nail. The risks of entertaining your kids.
I got ill, assuming a standard flu.
First day back at work, I was super tired at the end of the day, walked between buildings, rolled my ankle, hit the deck, cut my hand open, had to do an embarrassing plaster/Savlon request after cleaning it out.
Wife says she's ill this morning. I take the day off to help with my toddler and the daycare stuff. Take the dog out for a walk at 3 before collecting my boy from daycare. Dog does a second poo. Got him in my left hand, picking up a mushy piece of his poo with a poo bag. As I've crouched down, I've unknowingly caught a wasp between my arse cheek and my achilles (I'm in flipflops). Shooting pain on my achilles. I lift my leg up to look what the (sorry Phil) F is going on, and I trap the DH wasp even more. It is properly going for me, full on waging a war. Admirable to be honest. Not just a "you're a threat", more of a you've disrespected 10 generations of my lineage type attack. Anyway. I can't drop the dog lead as I'm next to a busy road. I can't hit it away with my right hand, as that has a mushy poo bag on it. I try and kick it off, but standing on the leg you are getting stung on is a challenge. So I fall over for the second time in two days and I sit there for 5 minutes.
This is all within a week and a half.
Going with Qué Sera Sera for tomorrow. I'm hoping this is the suffering I need to personally go through for external things to go well. But also, as the title suggests, hoping I'm not cursed for the season. [Post edited 22 Aug 3:06]
