You lot are slipping - came here to read up on the theories (Baltic attack, huge Russian mobilisation, nukes, Iran or even the UK?) but nothing.

Up your game chaps and esses

Maybe he should have gone in a caravan and picked up Palacios on the way back? Probably would have been covered then.

I hear that he's just pitched up in Martlesham.

I’d like to think if it was anything of significance, the Chief of the worlds best funded spy agency might be able to slip into Russia without the world’s media knowing…

Was this in the list of non-football things we were allowed to talk about? I forget, but somebody was making a list of what we should discuss and at want point in the news cycle we were permitted to.

Wasn;t the extremely public nature of the trip the point though? "We're doing something, but its too scary to chat about"?

Well his deputy told the Wall street journal about the visit, and he flew in on a plane that you could see on flightradar

So take it, that its a very public demonstration of making the visit and they wanted everyone to know.

What's more perplexing is why the CIA are involved in delivering messages in person like that and not the state department. In fact its a message the US ambassador in Moscow could have given for all the difference the actual messenger makes.

Probably nothing that dramatic. Likely just establishing contacts and boundaries. He hasn't been to Russia since appointment last January.

There are several things which may need smoothing out. Election interference (both past and potential), US assistance to Ukraine (esp. drone strikes), Iran (a major Russian ally), Syria/Venezuela (also former Russian allies).

The meeting was unannounced, but hardly secret, with a large US transport plane flying into Moscow.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.
