First game that fans were allowed back into Portman Road after COVID (apart those socially distanced ones the previous winter) and our youngest's first ever game, so I actually remember it quite fondly.
But yes, we have come so, so far in what is still relatively short time.
My Norwich mates are spitting feathers over their own establishment allowing us to leapfrog them with such speed , and also think they will not catch for quite sometime…….so nice to hear after all the s#it I have taken from them in the last 15 years .

Their “dominance” was aided by the fact that Marcus Evans was the owner, a fact which they tend to gloss over.
When in the PL, they showed little ambition and were keen simply to take the money and run.
Yes, they have a nice youth academy but on the pitch, they look miles away from automatic promotion.

Me too, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. True enough we sometimes wondered about staying in the pub, rather than going to the match, but some proper grounds, pubs and supporters in those lower league towns. Great away days. I wouldn't change anything that has happened since, but bigger is not always better.

I wonder if part of that is to do with where you are in your life.
I was lucky enough to see the Robson years with its great experiences and the best ever side to represent the club that I ever saw. Then there were the Burley years. I had time and money to see a lot of that. Then I think of the most amazing last five years. Wouldn’t change it for the world and something I thought had gone.
Yet if I had to pick a season to relive for the sheer fun of it, I’d choose Lyall’s promotion season. Not the best team, actually missed out on the Sky review by Mel Henderson. But I got to a lot of games home and away, life was good, we did the Liverpool matches and somehow the whole thing was pure fun - and I sort of knew we’d do it.
Maybe that’s rose coloured spectacles but it’s always interesting how different people see things different ways.

Ahhh leave Cooky alone! I used to like his little run out and wave to the crowd.
It didn't work out here but it was a pretty tricky transition to oversee. He brought in many of the players that became instrumental in league success.
I also think the demolition man summer was needed.
We were just wildly inconsistent under Cook.
Think his father passing towards the end also very difficult.
But yes, the speed of travel has been incredible. But Mark Steed set the tone (albeit crassly) on twitter when the takeover was confirmed.
It's still a thrill to see PR full. For those of us there during the darkest of days it was so sad. Sometimes only 12000 or in for a midweek game. (Although I miss leaving the pub at 2.56...😉).

If someone had told us at that point that in 5 years we’d be signing World Cup winners in the PL we’d have thought they were on some sort of hallucination medication
