Local Poundstretcher have got the Christmas aisle up and running.
FFS.
Bah bloody humbug.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Bit late…my local Sainsburys had their Christmas stuff out around a fortnight ago.

Capitalism at its finest. Bring out the biscuits and chocolates in August and have them on offer. For some inexplicable reason some people then buy them for Christmas because they are on offer (as if in December they won't be...) then they inevitably get eaten and bought again in December.

The Range went full tilt on singing santas a fortnight ago.

My relatively small town (40,000 population) had two large Poundlands and a Poundstretche on its small High Street a couple of years ago but the last of them recently closed.

I do feel their thunder has been stolen by B&M and Home Bargains.

Still got a Poundland in Cheltenham, which still seems fairly busy on the rare occasions that I go into town. I think it is probably supported by a large student population close by.

But yes, the Home Bargains and the B&M which are out of town always seem packed out.

I thought even the aisle of plastic tat for Halloween was too early.

To be fair some people may want to spread cost of Christmas while they have some cash etc and put things away as they may not be good at saving the money.

I've already bought my wife's and my granddaughters' Christmas pressies.

Going away in November this year and not back until Jan, so I'll avoid all the usual build-up to Christmas and unnecessary spending that goes with it...yesssss

Poll: So what do we think will happen with MM and the Aston Villa job?

I had to do some work with a customer to prepare for their Christmas campaign, slightly different as they are only preparing for it, but Summer has barely finished and it did seem weird.
