I think Diop will come good, but at the moment the CB organisation isn't working. We have staggered defensive lines far too frequently in the last two games, so I feel that the established partnership of O'Shea and Greaves will have a better understanding at the moment. Better communication, better organisation. Maybe Diop's crazy 'tackle' that led to the Sunderland goal is clouding my judgement a bit, but my overall impression so far is that Diop has been out of sync more so than Greaves (who admittedly lost his man last night). I want O'Shea back in the middle organising the defence and the two DMs, and I think Greaves is the best partner for him at the moment. |  |
