| hull not going away still 17:58 - Sep 12 with 748 views | positivity | could they be this season's sunderland? don't mind too much if we get to be this year's leeds (solidly picking up the points for survival without much fanfare)! | |

to be fair, ipswich beat chelsea when we'd just come up! it was the failure to beat the coventry-equivalents that proved more damaging...

They’ve done brilliantly, especially having been dismissed by everybody - including me.

And Palace who doubled us despite us being the better team both games. We should have had 6 points from Fulham on the balance of play and ended up with 2 so it would be good to put that right too!

| hull not going away still on 18:11 - Sep 12 with 597 views | ringwoodblue | Don’t care about them tbh as long as we get 4 or 6 pts off them this season. There’s no rule that’s says only one promoted side can stay up so as long as we finish 17th or higher if they finish above us, then good luck to them. | |

| hull not going away still on 18:59 - Sep 12 with 504 views | gainsboroughblue | Certainly having a fairytale start. Haven't seen the stats from today yet but they have carried on their XG defying from last year. Any other season, I'd be totally rooting for them but at the moment, they are a bit of a nuisance. I don't mind them taking points off the Palace's, Coventry's, Fulham's etc as that pulls more teams down but nicking points at Chelsea and beating Man U is a bit galling. Sounded like they could have won it late today as well. They will probably have a drop off and long run of no wins/defeats. It is a long, hard season and teams will find ways to beat them once sussed. | |

A few on here have been saying that Hull have been lucky so far. They haven't; they've been really good in every game, made better teams work for everything, and then punished them when they got their chance. They deserve all the praise they're getting. I still think they might end up fighting relegation, but what a start after a tough set of fixtures. They have Newcastle next, and then Everton, Fulham, Brentford, and us next month. We'll know more after those fixtures, but it's a good chance for them to build on this start.
| hull not going away still on 20:44 - Sep 12 with 235 views | TheBoyBlue | I have been slightly dismissive of Hull's start. They caught Man Utd cold, won a what was a Championship game in all but name and drew 0-0 with a Villa team still finding their feet. I was generally waiting to see how they would react to going behind. Well they did today and it was quite impressive, so fair play to them! As others have said it's early doors still, but if they can carry this momentum as far as possible it will give them a lot of breathing space going forward. | |
