My old man and his brother in the 70’s went camping in the Sierra Nevada range. They said one night they heard bizarre noises and knocking for a couple hours. They cut the camping trip short once the sun came up.
By all accounts in the last few years though more has come out about these noises in that mountain range with some recordings of them here
A few years ago I got hooked on the tv series "Finding Bigfoot". Not because I believed it exists but because it was hilarious to watch. In the investigating team they had a big fella called Bobo who wasn't all the ticket and I'm sure they dressed him up in a furry costume. The leader used to make conclusions with no logical evidence to back them up. Each episode they seemed to use the same methods, whacking trees & listening to nothing and discovered jackshite.
Always a lot of debate on whether a primate such as Australopithecus could still exist but before anyone dismisses it out of hand it's worth considering the size of it's likely habitat and the amount of people who live there.
