Liam Manning, the worst of the worst, the impostor, fraud, the worst manager ever to take charge of a football match: 2025 - 17th after 9 games, 9 points, 17 goals conceded.

I haven't been following the ins and outs, but I am surprised as I thought he was a more than competent manager and that they would be pushing the top few this season.

| Norwich stat on 11:51 - Oct 11 with 2292 views | HighgateBlue | That's a wonderful stat, and I have no hesitation or guilt in enjoying it! However, I do think they will improve their league position, especially when their injuries die down. It would be lovely for them to miss out on the playoffs though, especially now that the top 25 or whatever all qualify. | | | |
| Norwich stat on 13:08 - Oct 11 with 2086 views | ITFC_Essex | It’s almost as if changing managers during every iffy spell is a terrible way of operating a football club. Manning clearly had personal issues and needed time off, rather than the sack, he was great at Bristol and MK Dons. As for the current manager, didn’t he finish third in a two team league? | |

Nobody who has Rangers finish anywhere other than 1st or 2nd in the SPL can be deemed 'competent'. See also : Martin, R

| Norwich stat on 15:00 - Oct 11 with 1787 views | mutters | They definitely had the new manager bounce last year, and from what I read and heard the football had got a lot better than under Manning. So I don't it was completely unfair for them to enter the off season with renewed positivity. However it appears that their board/owners/DoF have really recruited badly, especially as they had a bucket of cash after selling Sargent. Looks like the return on investment has been poor so far, however with the top 8 competing for a chance to go up, they could easily go on a run, so I am not yet in gloat mode. It feels like they missed their chance to stabilise in the Premier League for many reasons, the main one not spending the cash and being overly cautious. Still it's marvellous to see | |

| Norwich stat on 15:24 - Oct 11 with 1703 views | RetroBlue | The EFL creating a PO zone thst encompasses teams almost half way down the table has a watering down effect on the required promotion credentials. Even a mid table no hopers will have a chance this season. Its a joke really. | |

You joke, but there was a few on the Oink 'Un saying that they'd love him to take charge at the trophy free palace. Gimme 10 minutes, I'll see if I can find it.

Here we are. https://forum.pinkun.com/index Not all of them by all means love him, but there's a fair few willing to defend him. I enjoyed this particular gem - 'City fans are weird when icomes to Russell Martin. I don't get the vitriol. I honestly think he's hated because he doesn't conform to English thinking and wants to pass the ball I think he should be commended for sticking to his guns. There are plenty of managers who take the easy route for short term results and kick it long, including our own. Wait until Makama is playing regularly, I'm expecting some pretty awful football because the signs were there last seas'

I am still upset we didn't at least sign him as well last season, not for footballing reasons, although he was a decent Championship forward, just because the sight of him and Nunez in blue celebrating promotion would have been quality Norfolk-meltdown material.

| Norwich stat on 13:02 - Oct 12 with 402 views | Jack27 | This was an interesting comment on page 3: Their chairman, yes he comes across as a ****, but they have a very solid plan in place and they persisting this relentlessly behind the scenes. The Reform thing was a shocker, I’d have been fuming if we had done the same, but they had to do this to secure the required planning permission to develop the area outside the ground. A very grubby deal indeed. But it’s worked, they are shortly starting this scheme, at a value of £50m to £70m and this after around £50m spent on new training facilities. The completion of this next construction phase is required as a pre planning condition before they then submit the plans for stadium development, to an increase of 40,000, these plans are developed. So, a clear strategy being played out, off the back of two promotions, with major infrastructure investment, without impacting player purchases. Their owner group are seriously invested in this and can see what this investment could bring. When asked by another poster "Is that all true re the investment?" The response: It is true on their investment and plan. | | | |
