Likewise, those in the Premier in 2014/15 suddenly find their attendance drop now they are in the EFL. Stoke,Swansea and Hull. *astounding*

And totally meaningless if you are just going to use an arbitery 10 year measuring yardstick without any context of a clubs situation or comparative state. Nodge fans will no doubt point to their figures being stable across that period but in 2014-15, they are largely in the same position as they are now, though arguably trending down currently but have had promotions and spells in the Prem to keep that average figure there. Cov, Brizzle and Blades were in League One (Cov were even playing at Sixfields) and we all know Wrexham's trajectory. [Post edited 12 Oct 11:59]

Christ! Did you have to have an operation before qualifying to sign up there?

| Bitter Budgie alert on 12:06 - Oct 12 with 1204 views | Miaow | It's weird how some of them go on about us having so few fans watching us in League One when our attendances at that level (even before our promotion season) were higher than a lot of the crowds we got in the Championship in the decade or more before we got relegated in 2019. Almost as if they haven't got a clue what they're talking about. | |

Must be pretty bleak for them. We’ve always had the history, they’ll never match that. For a period they had the present, crowing about the ‘period of dominance’ which we firmly quashed last season by doubling them. I can’t imagine they’re making much of a case for the future right now, while we’re 10th in the premier league with a shiny new training ground and they’re closer to relegation than playoffs in the Champ. They’ve got absolutely nothing, and becoming more and more of an irrelevance to us with each passing week.

That WOTB is the strangest forum in the whole of football , such a weird format to read and digest.

But they told us last season Belgian Phil was a better manager than McKenna. Six defeats already in one of the most average championship seasons in decades.

Phil has been chopped in his 2nd season twice before, he's known for immediate results and then it goes pear-shaped, like a Belgian Big Sam. I think half their issue is they haven't realised they're a bang average Championship team these days, they all still expect to be top 4 and pushing for the Prem with little investment and bad recruitment. Entitled bunch.

Even that period of 'dominance', they have nothing to show for it apart from a few dismal 20th placed PL finishes. We've beaten them more in the past 12 months than they have us in 7 years. I think seeing us have a proper go, invest loads of money into infrastructure and pushing the club forward hurts them because they didn't do it. As you say, we have a better history, better present and brighter future... they are turning into Col U in terms of irrelevancy to us. [Post edited 12 Oct 12:49]

Won't be long and the airport and cathedral card will be played. I'd go for better pubs if I were them but when they have nothing else they normally claim superiority on city status. To be fair it is a lovely city full of weirdos.

| Bitter Budgie alert on 13:45 - Oct 12 with 397 views | ITFC_Essex | Our attendances from 2019 onwards have consistently been strong, aside from Covid, we've had great gates from then until now, across three leagues and against many different sides from Forest Green to Arsenal. From 2012-19 many walked away due to the toxic combination of an owner just doing the basics, and McCarthy-ball, while I have a ton of love for Mick and understand why he did what he did, with the players he could get, watching it was dire most weeks and people lost interest in paying to see that. We did indeed enjoy ur sexy-football in League One eventually. | |
