| Reform 08:08 - Oct 19 with 1482 views | BlueNomad | How much damage has last night’s programme on ITV done to them? We knew what was coming but it still shocked. | | | | |
| Reform on 08:23 - Oct 19 with 1398 views | Swansea_Blue | Who knows. Racism and Islamophobia are two of Reform’s features, not anomalies. People have had long enough to see it, so there can’t be many still supporting them who will be surprised or shocked by yet more revelations of racism. I didn’t see the programme and naively looked at BBC News first to see what I’d missed. No mention there other than an article 3/4s of the way down the home page representing the claims of one of the Councillors involved that it was a stitch up and electoral interference by ITV 🥴 [Post edited 19 Oct 8:58]

BBC have been alarmingly sympathetic to Reform, and Farage, for way too long. No other party gets such kind coverage from them.

I’m nervous about echoing the MSM conspiracies people often get fixated about, but it’s hard to draw any other conclusion innit. Can you imagine if ITV had broadcast a programme about rampant racism and Islamophobia in Labour/Greens/Lib Dems last night. It’s highly likely they’d be leading with it this morning.

Might stop a few floaters drifting their way mind, thus ensuring their ceiling of support remains where it is.

I suspect that the BBC has been forced to the right as over-compensation for the constant historical* complaints of its left-wing bias, including the imposition of senior staff by right-leaning governments (or ones seeking to pander to that group of voters). * Going back to at least the 1970s.

| Reform on 13:54 - Oct 19 with 690 views | Whos_blue | It won't change the mind of many sadly. We have our own little microcosm here and there are a few who won't change their views and only want to get this once great country back to what it once was. Though what that means in reality I doubt we'll ever get to know as any views on that are in very short supply. If this place is an indicator of the general populous, I presume there will be many patriots who wilfully turn a blind eye to this behaviour or perhaps even endorse it. | |

| Reform on 14:47 - Oct 19 with 625 views | ITFC_Essex | It's great work. However, take the Tories for example, they are getting a free ride at the moment, and they recently tried to field an ex-Nazi as a candidate! Kemi's policies are very much right of Reform, yet by sinking Reform, ITV could be handing the keys to number 10 over to her with this hit piece. Maybe thats what they really want? End the right split, and get the neo-cons back into office again. | |

It isn't just that it is kind it is the level too. How many other political parties received the level of coverage they have had whilst polling at the figures they got? I would love to see an in-depth analysis of polling statistics, elected MPs and minutes aired on political programs and the news. I bet Reform/Brexit/Farage/UKIP in any of their forms would be massively favoured in them over all other parties but most especially Green/LibDem.

| Reform on 19:50 - Oct 19 with 388 views | GlasgowBlue | Easy way to gauge this. In 2019 Panorama did a similar broadcast on Labour's issues with institutionalised antisemitism. There were issues of holocaust denial, antisemitic stereotyping about Jews and money, Jews and the media, Jews and big noses, Hitler was right etc. Did it stop anyone on here voting Labour in that year's general election? | |

| Reform on 19:51 - Oct 19 with 392 views | Radlett_blue | Revelations about Reform & Farage are unlikely to deter their core supporters. A bit like Trump, negative coverage convinces their supporters that there's a media conspiracy against them. If you believe the polls, right wing parties are currently supported by 46% of the electorate & leftist parties by 51% so a right wing government looks incredibly unlikely, especially as Reform & the Tories are likely to cancel themselves out. | |

I'm sure the average Reform fan-boy will just claim that it's smears and that the journalist is biased against Nigel Farage.

| Reform on 20:38 - Oct 19 with 335 views | Libero | I thought it was interesting that a couple of the idiots on there were giving it the big-benters, talking about lining up asylum seekers and machine gunning them. Polanski also said in a piece, that he encountered someone supporting reform who said the same. Do all Reform voters quite literally share the one braincell? | | | |

There is a fringe on both sides of the political spectrum that periodically sways voters away from the center. Right now, however, the polarisation on both sides feels more extreme than at any other point in my lifetime. The social democratic model has had an 80-year run. In that post-war era, it has accumulated a mountain of national debt while consistently delivering disappointment to voters on both sides of the aisle. To its credit, it has likely preserved more lives and enriched more people than any system before it, but that framework is now being fundamentally squeezed. The left’s traditional answer is always that we are just one more tax hike away from a bureaucratic utopia, while the far right acts as if simply shouting at the borders will magically fix everything. The reality is that you cannot subsidise a society into prosperity, nor can you slogan your way out of national bankruptcy.
