A former colleague and chum directly worked for her at MoJ. He reckoned she was one of the stupidest people he’d ever met which meant working for her was a daily nightmare.
Truss had a reputation for being as thick as mince around Whitehall before that, her only challenger for No 1 idiot being DoTs Chris Grayling.
Now there was a man who when you looked in his eyes, you could see the back of his head.
How Truss is wandering about earning a living beyond her ex-PM nod and a wink ‘expenses’ is beyond me. The Americans who swallow her mumblings (Republicans) must plumb the depths.

She reaffirms their pre-existing prejudices about what the world is like outside their MAGA paradise.
A bit like North Koreans, who are led to believe that everywhere else is even worse than what they have to put up with.

Quite. It was obvious from the start that she was a blithering idiot and well out of her depth. What were the Tory members thinking? Somehow she’s got even worse and is a full blown conspiratorial nutcase like her former colleague Andrew Bridgen. Any client media who promoted her at the time has zero credibility.
The no-deal nutters hoped she would be Boris Mk2. Which she was, to an extent, but not in quite the way they thought (all the gaffes and none of the political ability).
When, as a former Tory PM (if we can really call her a former PM, morr interim) even the Telegraph tears your book to shreds, you know its utter nonsense

Oh I think it was pretty obvious what Tory voters were thinking. Liz Truss or that brown bloke, there was no way they were going to choose Sunak.

Is she really a conspiracy nutcase or is she playing to the only crowd who will take her seriously? I think she knows she has a niche she can sell her book to, a niche that will book her to speak, shes not cut out for anything else so shes had to find a space in which to exist. That space is the rabbid nutty right

Definitely the second one.
She is weird but she's not alt right conspiracy weird. Same with Farage.
Suspect neither believes a word that comes out of their own mouths.

Sounds perfect for the Labour Party sign her up!
Well she changed from Liberal Democrats to Tory to get elected, so she was smart in that regard because she's made herself a multi-millionaire in the process.
She's everything wrong with politics. She couldn't manage a Tesco.

And let's not forget Badenoch who tweeted this on the day of Kwarteng's mini-budget.
“For decades, we have been too focused on how we divide the pie and not enough on growing it. The PM and Chancellor are 💯 right to change that with their Growth Plan 📈 Tax cuts for all 💷 Energy support for people and business 💡Business investment unleashed 📈”

Indeed.
Funny also that Truss and her followers claim nobody could have had any idea what would have happened with the Gilt market, despite Sunak standing there in the hustings and spelling out exactly what would happen...
