| Shirt Pull on O'shea 13:37 - Nov 1 with 1431 views | ITFCson | I would be curious to hear Dermot Gallagher discuss on ref watch regarding the No Pen decision on O'shea. I thought a shirt pull was a foul and that was pretty blatant | | | | |
| Shirt Pull on O'shea on 14:02 - Nov 1 with 1332 views | Basuco | Would that be Dermot (I always agree with the on field ref) Gallager? Who thought that the judo throw on Chappers was not a penalty! He is just a Sky TV comedy creation of a referee for a humorous TV show, definitely not to be taken seriously. | | | |

Exactly this. Something along the lines of "Yes, he's got a hold of his shirt but all players do that and it's not much of a pull. It would have to be more of a pull for it to be a penalty." Despite the rules stating clearly that a shirt pull is a foul and an automatic yellow card.

And all the sky pundits were saying it should be a pen. Why will none of them refer to other games that have similar fouls that they won't call out. As they don't care about teams outside the top 6 so won't even beware such a more blatant shirt pull happened in a lesser game yesterday.
| Shirt Pull on O'shea on 10:32 - Nov 2 with 511 views | LeoMuff | Not sure how Emersonn didn’t get a pen, went past his man, leg stuck out and contact, went to ground seemed stonewall at the time. Daizen seemed reasonable shout as well. | |

| Shirt Pull on O'shea on 10:52 - Nov 2 with 459 views | ITFCson | Having watched a different set of highlights Florentino scores less than a minute after this incident. According to the commentator VAR were looking still at the incident and likely would have been a pen. So you could say on this occasion we were actually lucky the Pen was not given on field (as we could have missed) and the Florentino goal does not happen. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Referees seem to have decided not to penalise shirt pulling, and so it continues. Liverpool's non-penalty for the blatant pull on Isak, also ignored by VAR, seems to confirm this. But they still seem to want to disallow goals for minor infringements by attackers e.g. Enciso's first half "goal" on Saturday.

I thought the "foul" on the Enciso disallowed goal was beyond soft. Having seen another angle I do think he was offside, so probably shouldn't have counted anyway, but not for the reason it was given.
