"The Sun reports" - I'm instantly calling BS.

Poll: Was that the worst game you've been to? If not, what was?

Possibly something in it. Experienced head who knows the division *and* likes a more technical style of football. Not saying I'd go for him but for Evans it could be the best of all worlds.

I just find it hard to believe anything that comes from that "paper".

Well, quite. But in this case Alan Nixon, who wrote it, gets more right than wrong so I would not rule it out.

I'm sure they view him as a 'possible' for the reasons you outline but think the story that he's top of the list is purely speculation. Wouldn't entirely discount the story but I think, like one or two other recent links, to be taken with a grain or two of salt at least. From what I gather Mogga is the one they'd ideally like and Stam is also on the list, although not sure how high up he might be and there will be others.

Stam? Seriously?

That's what I hear and a fairly obvious target after taking Reading to the play-offs last year. Somewhat of a contrast to Mick stylistically.

Further to that, one name I've not heard mentioned who I think would (or at least should) probably come into the thinking is Brian McDermott. Think he'd do a decent job here.

Other than Keane, I can’t think of a manager I’d want less than Stam here.

His style bores me to tears.

I keep hearing Pep's name being mentioned by various pundits.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he is mentioned by pundits in connection with the apparent vacancy at Ipswich Town too.
