“Hopeless” was how you put it.

Edwards is an odd one for me.

His first touch is often reminiscent of Frank Nouble, and he can be hugely frustrating, but he does have a knack of popping up with goals and has pace to burn when he can control it.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

He is, a tap in doesn't change that but I am happy about it

If he was hopeless, he’d have surely missed it.

He’s powderpuff, for sure. But hopeless is a bit harsh.

Cheers for clarifying. Leon Best scored quite a few in his career so he must world class

I think he was actually trying to take a touch

Bad players still occasionally score goals. Paul Taylor once scored for us, FFS.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Hopeless is a perfect description.
We’ve had some utter sht here over last 10 years, but he’s certainly up there in playoff spots!
Weak as piss. Every tackle a foul. Can’t beat a man. Crossing poor. First touch woeful

What PL is picking him for is beyond me

We’ll be good again... one day

I think your one line summary of Edwards' various abilities are spot on and I cannot see why he should ever be in a starting team in a "proper" match.

As I said to my son yesterday when a freekick was given against Edwards "He made a tackle so it probably was a foul".

I remember when he was first here he was pretty good, taking players on constantly (and beating them) and generally being an exciting flair player.

Since his injury though he's turned into Lee Martin, with his running into the first man and hopelessly timed tackles.

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton

I think that flick he did in his first game against Blackburn had us drooling and thinking he was the next big thing. That got me on my feet even watching it on a computer thousand of miles away.

The bar and our expectations have been extremely high ever since.

Lollers :)

He was still pretty hopeless tbf. There is some ability there clearly, but his efforts are all a bit Lee Martinesque.
